I'm at my wit's end trying to get the stock bushings out of the factory FUCAs. I'm replacing all my suspension bushings with Nismo replacements and have finished every other arm with a combination of a press and cutting the shell. None were unreasonably difficult besides the FUCAs. Their shape and size of the arm makes the other methods not work well as both sides have a wide flange and the two bushings are almost touching each other.
I've seen videos using and air hammer which I tried and just ended up scuffing up the arm pretty well while the bushing didn't move. I've tried cutting/banging/heat as much as I can but also worry about damaging the arm. Does anyone here have any tips on how they were able to do it?
